Uncle Sam, Give Us These Boards: 7 American Cities That Deserve a World Tour Stop

The World Tour has taken us to Tokyo's neon canyons, Parisian rooftops, and enough tropical islands to fill a cruise brochure. Great. Love it. But we've been keeping a running list at Surf City HQ, and it's getting loud: when does the tour come back to the good ol' US of A?

Here are the seven American cities we'd sprint through in a heartbeat — and the boards we'd grind for.

1. Chicago — The L-Train Legacy

Come on. The game is called Subway Surfers and Chicago's elevated tracks are the most iconic train-riding scenery in America. Picture dodging turnstiles under the Loop, the bean sculpture glinting in the distance, deep-dish pizza boxes stacked as obstacles.

The board: "Windycity Flyer" — red-and-white livery with a CTA-inspired stripe and train-shaped exhaust trails. Outfit: Jake in a varsity jacket with a Chicago dog in hand. Non-negotiable.

2. New Orleans — Streetcars and Second Lines

A streetcar named desire to keep your score streak alive. Run along the St. Charles line under mossy oaks, leap over Mardi Gras beads, dodge a brass band that plays as a speed boost.

The board: "Bayou Glider" — swamp-green with fleur-de-lis decals and jazz-note particle trails. Outfit: A purple, green, and gold party mask set. Instant classic.

3. San Francisco — Hills So Steep They Break the Physics

The runner that famously goes up and down? Give it actual hills. Trolley cables as grind rails, fog rolling in as a visual effect, sea lions barking near the waterfront.

The board: "Cable Car Cruiser" — a literal mini trolley that leaves fog behind it. Outfit: A hoodie with a bridge-orange windbreaker. Yes, we know the bridge is orange. That's the point.

4. New York City — The Obvious One

Honestly, the fact that this hasn't happened recently feels like a crime against the genre. Yellow cabs as obstacles, steam rising from grates, pigeons as the collectible that follows you. The Inspector and his dog could get Brooklyn-themed fits.

The board: "Metro Minder" — graffiti-covered with subway-map lines that light up when you hover. Outfit: A bodega-cat-adjacent cat hoodie. The merch would print itself.

5. Austin — Keep It Weird, Keep It Fast

Music venues, murals, and a bat colony that could serve as a nightly event: run at dusk as the bats emerge from the bridge. Texas barbecue smoke trailers behind you as a speed effect.

The board: "Lone Star Skimmer" — white with a single star and chili-pepper boost trails. Outfit: Denim-on-denim with a guitar-shaped backpack. Don't overthink it.

6. Seattle — Rain, Rails, and Coffee

Eternal drizzle as a weather effect, the Space Needle looming in the background, coffee cups as the coin pickup for one week only. Grunge-inspired color palette, flannel everywhere.

The board: "Evergreen Drift" — forest green with a raindrop ripple effect on landing. Outfit: Flannel over flannel. It's a whole thing.

7. Las Vegas — Night Run Paradise

The neon-est city in America deserves a nighttime-only stop. Casino lights, showgirl-feather obstacles, and a slot-machine mystery box that could actually be a gameplay mechanic. Somebody call SYBO.

The board: "Neon Jackpot" — gold with spinning-reel boost animations and a jackpot sound effect on every trick. Outfit: Elvis-adjacent rhinestone jumpsuit. We said what we said.

When's the Announcement?

We have zero insider info (we checked, nobody returns our calls), but World Tour stops drop regularly, and the pattern says another city reveal is always around the corner. Until then, we'll be here, refreshing the update notes and polishing this wishlist.

SYBO — the list is free. The boards write themselves. Chicago first. We're not asking. We're begging.
